Geocache Description:

I placed this cache near a nice little pond that has a wood duck nest box in it, which I believe an Eagle Scout installed some years ago. I haven't seen wood ducks here, but it's the perfect place to find all manner of little water critters. It's officially listed as a vernal pool, so it may dry up later in the summer. Find out all about wood ducks.

The cache is a clear lock and lock box about 3" x 4". The initial contents include a log book and pencil, a travel bug named Oliver, and some small toys. FTF prize is an alligator.

Lower Vine Brook is a Lexington Conservation Area that was the site of an old sand and gravel quarry. Now it's all second growth woods. It has 4.2 miles of trails, and connect to the Minuteman Bikeway and the A.C.R.O.S.S. Lexington trail system.
