I enjoy this rudimentary trail around Blackstone with my pups from time to time, and was surprised to find many caches in the area but not near the high point of the trail, one of my favorite places to be. Although this isn't anywhere near the high elevation in the Sierras I frequent, it's a reasonable alternative for El Dorado Hills. I then consider this to be low high elevation, with enough of a climb along the trail to it a short workout with some decent views.
While you are here, be sure to check out some of the many 'pathways to nowhere' that you see frequently in the landscaping at houses that are on the side of a hill. There are a LOT of them in this neighborhood.
