Since the Early beginnings, The Top Hat Marching Orchestra has been a regular performer during the Sound of Music Festival Parade.
In 1981, Mr. Eric Ford and Robert Webb, marching instructors with the Teen Tour Band, co-founded the Burlington Top Hat Marching Orchestra
The Top Hats are Billed as “NOT YOUR AVERAGE BAND”
On parade the Top Hats stroll, run, dance, and high-five the crowd; their street sound is unique and heads turn and toes start to tap when they hear the Top Hats coming. The musical selection is diverse, from big band, to rock, jazz and classical favourites, they can play it all. For 35 years, they have represented the city at local events, and travelled the world to preform.
