The cache is not at the posted coordinates, which are in Peter Kirk Park, but here you will find a whimsical sculpture called "The Gossips." This is the bonus cache for those who have completed the Kirkland Art Walk Adventure. You'll get clues for the final coordinates as you visit each stop of the Adventure.
Kirkland is famous for its impressive collection of outdoor art. More than 50 pieces in various media adorn city parks, sidewalks, and the waterfront. The collection features nationally known artists as well as relative newcomers, and is curated by the volunteer board of the Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission.
On the Kirkland Art Walk Adventure, you saw several pieces that dot the downtown area, but many more are scattered around the city, including Carillon Point, Juanita Village, Houghton Beach Park, Lake Washington Blvd, the 85th Street underpass, and neighborhood parks and fire stations. So keep your eyes open as you explore Kirkland, and you may encounter a giant grizzly, children playing, futuristic fountains, or a colorful mural.
