Geocache Description:


This phone shack was where the orders for both Sierra and Sugar Pine Railroads were received.

The plaque reads: 
Land homesteaded by Isaac Taylor Holland and the adjorning Campbell property was sold to Johnathan Florentine Ralph, who later divided and gave parcels to his sons Galo, Walter and Frank. An apple packing house, served by the Sierra Railroad co was built by Frank. For over 35 years the sons grew apples & pears which were shipped and sold on the New Your market. Ralphs Station was the starting point of the historic Sugar Pine Railroad. Incorporated Feb. 25 1905which served the massive lumbering industry. 

Dedicated Aug. 29th, 1992 (Clamper year 5997) by E Clampus Vitus, Matuca Chapter 1849. Credo Quia Absurdum
