The Witches’ Pond is hidden in the Creteasca Forest and has a diameter of only 5 meters. It is said that witches gather here sometimes.
There is no distinguishable source of its water, the pond never changes, doesn't dry, doesn't expand, whether it rains or there is a drought.
Further folklore surrounding the pond states that Vlad Tepes, better known as Vlad the Impaler or the real-life inspiration for Dracula, was killed at the Witches Pond. The true history of Vlad’s death remains a mystery but rumors stating that the leader and infamous warlord was beheaded in this area in 1476 prevail.
