About this cache:
UPDATE 1/7/2024. The final location is in the process of being moved slightly to place outside of DCNR Property. The Cartridge creator is working on updating the cartridge. In the meantime, there are actually two containers in place. One at the old location and one at the new location. As soon as the revised cartridge can be tested, I'll remove the old container. Farmer Musser advises that you upload the new version of the cartridge prior to heading out on your journey.
UPDATE 3/15/2023: The cartidge has been updated to follow the rerouted trail.
UPDATE 2/19/2023: The final 0.1 mile of trail has been eliminated and rerouted. We are working on changing the wherigo cartridge to direct you along the newly created trail. If you attempt this cache before the cartridge is updated, please note you will have a VERY DIFFICULT bushwhack this last 0.1 mile. We are not disabling this cache as it can still be completed and the final is in great condition. As soon as the cartridge is updated, we will post info here.
This is a wherigo cache, there is nothing at the posted coordinates, but they are good for parking. In order to find the cache, you must download the cartridge and follow the steps. At the end you will receive the coordinates for the container.
This wherigo will take you on a hike just under 2.5 total miles of the out and back variety. The gravel trail is wide and well maintained and has a slow rise to it. The last 0.1 mile is on a wide, slightly steeper dirt trail. There is absolutely no bushwhacking needed except for the last 35 feet of the cartridge.
At the end of the cartridge you will not only be given coordinates for the cache container but two additional, interesting but completely optional locations to check out. You must sign the log to receive credit for finding the cache, but you do not need to visit either of the optional locations.
The first optional location is a lookout located about a half mile further up the trail with an additional 200 ft elevation gain.
The second optional location is a surprise! It is located on the way back to parking and will require a bushwhack of just under 300 feet.
This wherigo is meant to be kid friendly, is filled with fun and interesting factoids and has simple multiple choice questions. Don’t worry, if you get a question wrong, you immediately get to try again.
Bring a snack and plenty of water.
Please note that the cartridge was created in March, when vegetation growth is low. Depending on the date of your visit, you may encounter more vegetation. But remember, stay on the trail and let the wherigo settle. No bushwhacking is required unless visiting the mystery bonus location.

NOTE 3/26/24:
I checked the newest version of the cartridge and it works perfectly. However, please note that the locations that the cartridge uses for questions are all virtual and over time they have changed. Starting with the very first location, they cut down the trees and built a restroom in their place. All the questions are multiple choice, so if the answer is not visible, guess.
