Geocache Description:

“Give me a hand” is all young Bran Stark wanted as he pleadingly looked up at Jaime Lannister seconds before Jaime made the decision to just push him off the edge of the tower. I still remember being horrified as this scene unfolded and despised Jaime Lannister. Little did I know at the time that this plot twist would lead to a redemption story that would slowly unfold.

Early on in the series, Jaime was shown as the handsome entitled member of the King’s guard. Occasionally, screenwriters would show the empathetic side of Jamie and viewers like me, who look for the good in all people, relished the moments when he let his vulnerable side be shown. So often these compassionate scenes would be between he and his younger brother, Tyrien, who was despised by both their sister and father simply because their mother died as a result of childbirth.

Flash forward a few seasons to a time when Jaime is being escorted back to King’s Landing under Brienne Tarth sent by Catlyn Stark and they are captured.  During the long journey, Jaime and Brienne formed a close bond and because of this bond, Jaime’s storyline of redemption is revealed in a symbolic way. In order to protect Brienne from suffering brutal abuse from which he felt she would never recover, Jaime spoke up on her behalf to the captors.  As a result, he “gave his hand” both literally and figuratively.

Inside the CC is a prize for the FTF and 2 unactivated travel bugs.
