Please follow the waypoints to ensure you take the correct path to this geocache. This path is a well used ATV trail; be prepared for mud and deep water in some seasons. Absolutely no night caching and please respect where you are.
The “Restin” caches are a series that will take you to local cemeteries, places of great historical interest. From pioneers and modern people these lovely places are full of interesting information. A hidden abandoned cemetery located in Prince Edward County. Doing research I found the cemetery has a few names. The name listed on the cemetery gates was Simonds Pioneer Cemetery. It is also known as Simonds/Snider Burying Ground and Massassaga Cemetery. The cemetery is in poor condition; uneven ground, broken tombstones and foilage overgrowth to mention a few things. It is a sad sight but being there can only be described as beautiful. Take the time to explore the entire cemetery, there are some very interesting markers. The cemetery doesn't appear to have anyone buried in a long time there but interesting enough some locals buried some of their pets and put up wooden crosses.
