From the book, "Town of Rochester Cemeteries, Ulster County, New York". The VanWagenen/Miricle Ground is found as number 67. From Route 209, north on Mettacahonts Road, turn right on Lower Whitfield Road, approximately 100 yards past the intersection of Store Road, on the right, about 75 feet from the pavement, just before a stream. At one time, there must have been a tree at each corner of the cemetery. As of 1990, three remain. An indentation remains where the cemetery was located. There are no stones. This cemetery had been vandalized in the 1930's or 40's. The owner, Mr David Friedburg, took the stones across the street and used them for flooring in his barn. Only two stones were found in the barn in 1990; but there may be more. just look from the road you can see the imprints and i still can't get over people that do things like that
