Recently the entire world as we know it came to a sudden, grinding halt with the widespread Coronavirus disease. Schools are closed and people are working remotely from home. All non-essential businesses have been closed including restaurants, movie theaters, and malls. All concerts, sports events, festivals, and religious, social and family gatherings are cancelled.
With travel restrictions in place, folks only venture out for the absolute necessities such as medications and food shopping and must wear a mask when doing so. This has resulted in a new phenomenon called social distancing. The public’s anxiety about the outbreak has resulted in panic buying with hand soaps and sanitizers flying off the shelves. And don’t even think of trying to find a roll of toilet paper! Yes, it’s truly a pandemic pandemonium!
Families have adapted well to this different way of life with home schooling and new hobbies. Some folks are playing old fashioned board games, learning how to cook, or taking on home projects. However, there is still the need and desire to get out for some fresh air and exercise. So, it only seemed right to place this cache to provide a pleasant, peaceful paddle diversion.
This cache is located at Sunset Lake in Bridgeton City Park. The park hours are dawn to sunset. Please be sure and follow all boating and safety rules and regulations. Don't forget to bring a pen, your hand sanitizer, oh, and maybe some TP!
