Geocache Description:

We are privileged to have a rare deer roam the city of Billings, namely on the west end.  This deer provides many pedestrians, hikers and cars the opportunity to either pull over off the side of the road or stop and watch our "ghost deer" live freely in her surroundings.

Some folks have seen her going up the rims with her fawn or even across the street to the SW.  It is believed that our albino deer was born in the summer of 2011, they typically don't live very long due to the challenges that they face. Their coat allows them to stand out easier to predators, also the side effects of poor eyesight and less sensitive hearing increase their odds of a shorter life.

How rare are albino deer? Estimates range from 1 in 20,000 to 1 in 500,000.  Either way, we are very fortunate to have this girl in our city and it's up to us to protect her and her way of life.  This cache is dedicated to our "ghost deer".

There is room for small tradeables and we ask you to stick with the white theme for any trading.
