In time of Corona you may follow all the instructions of the listing virtually using Google Street View. This way no need to visit live all the tour stops to calculate the final's coordinates. Only for signing the logbook you should schedule a visit on Crete as soon as the Corona crisis is behind us.
For about two decades, Agia Galini and Plakias were destinations for a few backpackers and individual travelers. In the meantime you can find the hotels of these villages at every travel provider. From Agia Galini to the west, the entire south coast is steep and often inaccessible, so that we can only reach the destinations at the coast if we have previously driven far up into the mountains.
The cache "Agios Pavlos" (https://coord.info/GC1RF5M) owned by wind & water is hidden here since 2009 and we definitely want to stop there to admire the spectacular rocks. At waypoint A we turn to reach Agios Pavlos.
On our way we look at the lion fountain at waypoint B in the town of Spili.
Before we return to the coast, we stop at waypoint C at a viewpoint where we can take a fantastic view down into the Kourtaliotiko gorge.
On our virtual trip we return to the shore and stop at the Venetian bridge at Preveli at waypoint D.
From here it is not far from two famous sights of Crete, the complex of the Preveli monastery and the palm tree beach of Preveli. On a real visit these two places will leave a lasting impression. More information on Wikipedia:

Shortly before our stage destination Plakias we take a look at this well-preserved water mill at Myrthios (waypoint E).
Only about 300 inhabitants are living all over the year at Plakias (waypoint F). In summer a multiple of tourists spend their holidays here, the place is a worthwhile holiday destination with its one and a half kilometer long beach and the many nearby excursions. Very beautiful geocaches can also be found in this area. Most of these caches are the reward for a nice hike or trip. The view sweeps over the landscape here, geocaching powertrails will not be found here as mostly not on Crete.

Nur das Signieren des Logbuchs müsst Ihr auf den Tag verschieben, an dem Ihr real nach Kreta reisen werdet.

Für zwei Jahrzehnte etwa waren Agia Galini und Plakias Ziele von wenigen Rucksacktouristen und Individualreisenden. Inzwischen findet man die Hotels der Orte bei jedem Reiseanbieter. Von Agia Galini nach Westen hin ist die gesamte Südküste steil und vielfach unzugänglich, so dass wir zu den am Meer liegenden Zielen dieser Etappe nur kommen, wenn wir zuvor weit hinauf in die Berge gefahren sind.
Der Cache „Agios Pavlos“ (https://coord.info/GC1RF5M) von wind&water liegt hier schon seit 2009 und dort wollen wir auf jeden Fall Station machen, um die spektakulären Felsen zu bewundern. Nach Agios Pavlos biegen wir am Wegepunkt A ab.
Auf unserem weiteren Weg schauen wir uns im Landesinneren in dem Ort Spili den Löwenbrunnen bei Wegepunkt B an.
Bevor wir wieder an die Küste zurückkehren, halten wir am Wegepunkt C an einem Aussichtspunkt an, wo wir einen herrlichen Blick hinab in die Kourtaliotiko Schlucht werfen können.
Auf unserer virtuellen Tour fahren wir jetzt wieder an die Küste und halten an der venezianischen Brücke von Preveli am Wegepunkt D.
Von hier aus ist es nicht weit zu zwei touristischen Highlights Kretas, der Klosteranlage Preveli und dem Palmenstrand von Preveli. Diese beiden Ziele dürften bei einem realen Besuch nachhaltigen Eindruck hinterlassen. Näheres dazu bei wikipedia:

Kurz vor unserem Etappenziel Plakias schauen wir uns noch bei Myrthios (Wegepunkt E) die gut erhaltene Wassermühle an.
Auch wenn im Sommer ein Vielfaches der gut 300 Einwohner von Plakias (Wegepunkt F) an Feriengästen hierher kommt, bleibt der Ort doch mit seinem anderthalb Kilometer langen Strand und den vielen nahegelegenen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten ein lohnendes Urlaubsziel. Auch sehr schöne Geocaches sind in dieser Gegend aufzufinden. Die meisten dieser Caches sind die Belohnung für eine schöne Wanderung oder einen schönen Ausflug. Der Blick schweift hier eher über die Landschaft, Geocachen im Minutentakt sucht man hier – wie meist auf Kreta – vergebens.

Σε περιόδους Corona, μπορείτε να ακολουθήσετε όλες τις οδηγίες αυτής της περιγραφής με το Google Street View, έτσι μην χρειάζεται να είστε πραγματικά στην περιοχή για να υπολογίσετε τις συντεταγμένες του φινάλε. Απλώς πρέπει να αναβάλλετε την υπογραφή του ημερολογίου μέχρι την ημέρα που πραγματικά θα ταξιδέψετε στην Κρήτη.

Για περίπου δύο δεκαετίες, η Αγία Γαλήνη και ο Πλακιάς ήταν κρυμμένοι προορισμοί για μερικούς μεμονωμένους ταξιδιώτες. Τώρα πια όμως μπορείτε να βρείτε τα ξενοδοχεία αυτών των χωριών σε κάθε ταξιδιωτικό πράκτορα. Από την Αγία Γαλήνη προς τα δυτικά, όλη η νότια ακτή είναι απότομη και συχνά απρόσιτη. Έτσι για να πάμε στους προορισμούς μας δίπλα στη θάλασσα, πρώτα πρέπει να πάμε ψηλά στα βουνά.
Η κρύπτη "Άγιος Παύλος" (https://coord.info/GC1RF5M) των wind&water είναι κρυμμένη εδώ από το 2009 και σίγουρα θέλουμε να σταματήσουμε εκεί για να θαυμάσουμε τους θεαματικούς βράχους. Στο Σημείο Διαδρομής Α θα στρίψουμε στο δρομάκι για τον Άγιο Παύλο.
Στο δρόμο μας σταματάμε στο Σημείο Διαδρομής Β στην πόλη του Σπηλίου για να δούμε τη βρύση λιονταριού εκεί.
Πριν γυρίσουμε στην ακτή, σταματάμε στο Σημείο Διαδρομής C. Από 'κει θα βρούμε μια υπέροχη θέα προς το Κουρταλιώτικο φαράγγι.
Στο εικονικό μας ταξίδι ξαναπάμε πίσω στην ακτή και σταματάμε στην ενετική γέφυρα στην Πρέβελη στο Σημείο Διαδρομής D.
Το σημείο αυτό δεν απέχει πολύ από δύο διάσημα αξιοθέατα της Κρήτης, το συγκρότημα της Μονής Πρέβελης και την παραλία με τους φοίνικες της Πρέβελης. Αυτά τα δύο μέρη θα αφήσουν μια έντονη εντύπωση σε μια πραγματική επίσκεψη. Περισσότερες πληροφορίες στο wikipedia:

Λίγο πριν από τον προορισμό μας στον Πλακιά ρίχνουμε μια ματιά σε αυτόν τον καλά διατηρημένο νερόμυλο στο Μύρθιο (Σημείο Διαδρομής Ε).
Μόνο 300 περίπου κάτοικοι μένουν μόνιμα στον Πλακιά (Σημείο Διαδρομης F.). Όμως, το καλοκαίρι ένα πολλαπλάσιο των τουριστών έρχεται, γιατί η πόλη είναι ένας αξιόλογος προορισμός διακοπών με την παραλία μήκους 1,5 χιλιομέτρου και τις πολλές κοντινές εκδρομές. Πολλά όμορφα geocaches μπορούν επίσης να βρεθούν σε αυτήν την περιοχή. Τα περισσότερα από αυτά τα cache είναι η ανταμοιβή για μια ωραία πεζοπορία ή εκδρομή.
Ρίξτε μια εικονική ματιά στα έξι Σημεία Διαδρομής που προαναφέρθηκαν και θα μπορείτε εύκολα να εντοπίσετε τις έξι εικόνες που τις βλέπετε στην αγγλική λίστα παραπάνω ή στην γκαλερί εικόνων. Εκεί θα βρείτε επίσης το υπολογιστικό φύλλο που θα σας οδηγήσει στις συντεταγμένες του φινάλε.
