Arrowsmith was laid out on 7 December 1871 by Charles W. Holder ( 1808–1887) and Owen T. Reeves. (1829- ?) The founders kept their identities hidden for two years until the plat was officially recorded. Both proprietors lived in Bloomington, were experienced land dealers, and were involved in the creation of the Lafayette Bloomington and Muncie Railroad. Arrowsmith takes its name from the township in which it was located, which had been named for early settler Ezekiel Arrowsmith.
Arrowsmith is a quick 25 minute drive from Bloomington Normal, so this series would make for a fun afternoon of caching!
Since there are no caches in this area, I decided to bring some Geocaching love to this area!
This specific cache in Aerosmith Cache Series is located in the parking lot of the Arrowsmith Community Center and Park. This should be an easy Park and Grab. Great for Kids!
Please be respectful and enjoy! PLACED WITH PERMISSION
