Muntz Mintz (Manawatu) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Phronimos: The flax and grass have undergone vigorous growth with a wet spring, but more importantly someones have been clearing the rank growth and discarded the geocache labelled bucket.
I also not the river access has now been blocked off to vehicles, but I’m archiving the cache anyway as I don’t believe the improvements down here have been completed.
Thank you everybody for the many favourite points you’ve given this geocache. I really do appreciate your kind comments and FPs.

Allan Muntz Reserve

Feilding has won the Keep New Zealand Beautiful Award for the best Beautiful Large Town a total of 16 times, with 2017 being the most recent.

In 2016 along with Feilding town, local resident Alan Muntz also won the Tidy Kiwi award for his restoration of the overgrown lane behind a garden centre along the Kiwitea Stream, known as Muntz Reserve...
Originally the site was overrun with blackberry and gorse before Muntz started clearing the site and planting new trees and flax in 2011.

Accordingly, please respect the environment and keep the cache area intact. Also, make sure to be stealthy when muggles are around.
