Geocache Description:

Burns Memorial - 1935

I was amazed when I came across this memorial and realised there wasn't a geocache here!
The Burns Memorial is Canberra's second oldest sculpture! And the first to have a pernament location!

It is the eighth and last Burns memorial erected in Australia. Burns memorials symbolise the loyalty and affection of Scots for the poet Robert Burns and for expatriate Scots communities worldwide they are also monuments to Scottishness, Scots traditions and achievements in adopted countries.

The panels you see behind Burns are scenes from his poem's and work, they were cast in Italy in 1934

Interestingly enough, the rights and obligations of the statue are owned by the Commonwealth and because it is so old, no title to the memorial’s block was ever issued, making it the only such block in the ACT!

To The Multi:

The final cache is located only a very short drive or walk away.

It is hidden high up a tree which is relatively easy to climb, three metres from the top.

To obtain the values you will need to focus on the plaques behind the statue which have parts of Burns poems inscripted on them. I have bumped up the difficulty of the cache slightly as there are two values you will have to interprete slightly different to the rest...... devil

All values will be a single digit.

A = Fourth Plaque, Sixteenth Word, Second Letter

B = Second Plaque, Sixteenth Word, Second Letter

C = Third Plaque, Thirteenth Word

D = First Plaque, Eighteenth Word, First Letter

E = Third Plaque, Fifth Word, First Letter

F = Second Plaque, Eighteenth Word

To get to the final GZ you will have to Project a Waypoint from the listed Coordinates.

ABC Degrees

DEF Metres

I have included a checker below for your convenience, it also allows a 30 feet discreprency :)

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

Good Luck and Have Fun! laugh
