From the starting point head down the trail in a south easternly direction.
On the right hand side of the trail, right on the downhill side of the trail is a 3 foot diameter tree.
From the tree head down the hill (bearing 247 degrees true) about 56 feet and you will see a 50 foot tall "stump" and a log. The letterbox is there
