Bust out your best grunge-wear for a beautiful song by Audioslave's Chris Cornell, Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brian Wilk. If those names look kinda familiar, maybe you know of Seattle's own Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog (with Eddie Vedder). Tom, Tim and Brian are from another one of my favorite bands, Rage Against The Machine. Chris Cornell's amazing 4-octive range and powerful voice stopped you in your tracks; once you heard his voice you would never forget it. This snippet is from one of my very favorite songs, Dandelion:
"Settle down now and sit with me / Let me tell you how this all came to be /
A yellow flower with your pedals to the air / And flying on paper wings that brought you here /
Summer rolls on in the lazy hours / An ether dream way of hummingbirds and clouds /
Midnight swims in the cool back waves / And you in my arms as it rolls away..."
Cache is on a quiet neighborhood street, but the area could be busy around ferry times. There is enough room to tuck onto the corner for a quick P&G. Bonus points if you post a photo of your flannel shirt!!
