Hadleigh Great Wood
Also known as Belfairs Nature Reserve, Hadleigh Great Wood was the first nature reserve in the country to be purchased by a local council. It is a fine example of an ancient coppice filled with chestnuts and birch, as well as honeysuckle and bluebells, and it is home to endangered species such as the Heath Fritillary Butterfly and the Hazel Dormouse.
