This two-stage multi cache is a tribute to my geo-friend Lori, who owns several art-themed multis around the Omaha area. I love the series, so asked if I could place one. This way, she gets in on the fun of discovering some cool Omaha art in some unexpected places.
Posted coords will take you to a huge mural that honors life in South Omaha; specifically, contributions of Irish-Americans. As you may know, South Omaha has historically been home to various immigrant groups - in the late 1800's and early 1900's, folks from Eastern Europe, Germany, Ireland, and other parts of Europe made their homes in these neighborhoods. More recently, people from Asia, Mexico, Central America, and Africa have contributed to the rich cultural heritage of South O. If you are so inclined, feel free to mention your family's roots in your log; these stories make our community and our great country unique.
On-street parking is available near both stages. Stage 2 is less than a 10-minute walk, but of course you can drive if that works better for you. There is no physical container at Stage 1; instead, use the mural to answer the questions below to get the coords to Stage 2, the final.
