Geocache Description:

This Creek was called Waititiko in Maori, meaning "water of the periwinkles". The European name "Meola Creek", came from local Allan Kerr Taylor who named after the Meola Glacier in India, where he was born.

This scenic spot is worth visiting when the tide is in, with views North across the Harbour to Chelsea Sugar works.
