This cache is placed at one of two major entry points to our High Desert Geoarts. There are 3 geoarts, the Oregon Star which consists of 51 caches, the Lucky Horseshoe series which consists of 28 caches and the Kokopelli series which consists of 134 caches.
From this point it is 11.5 miles to FIRST TURN TO THE DERBY which is located at a junction of Fox Butte Rd. and a dirt road running east just south of the fence line. This dirt road will take you to the northern edge of the Lucky Horseshoe series of caches and the access road through the fence running north through the Oregon Star series of caches.
Following south on Fox Butte Rd you will take a sharp left turn and continue on Nershall Rd which will take you to the power line road. There are numerous road from this intersection that will take you to parts of both the Lucky Horseshoe series and the Kokopelli series of caches.
It is highly suggested that you have a high clearance vehicle when driving off of the main roads as some of the side roads can be quite rocky and all roads can be slick and muddy if wet. Happy Caching
