In 2020 we should have been celebrating our 20th Birthday, 2 years late but then if we had celebrated it then these gardens and paths wouldnt have been here. The co-ords of the event bring you to a walled garden. (bring a picnic with you) as it is a picnic in the Glen, and maybe a few new caches. Glenanne Glen is a small wood of about 40 acres and owes its existence to the once thriving linen factory. The glen was purchased by Glenanne Development Assocation in 2018.The vision of the Assocation was to restore the Glen to its former glory, since then a lot of work has been done by the Assocation volunteers, we have made a walled garden and butterfly garden, over 2 miles of paths and cleared the small lake to restock for fishing, opening the woodlands as a shared community for everyone to enjoy. we have a lot more plans for the next few years, one is a museum of the area and to get schools involved.
