Behind the Rock Giant Traditional Cache

CrazyFrogLady: Unfortunately, due to the Labor Day fires that destroyed this entire area, this location is nothing but ash and burned out husks of trees, dead but still standing. We considered keeping the cache here because the rock formation is still there, but don't really want geocachers to have to walk through nothing but ash and death..... this, for now, is no longer a quality cache location. We've already gotten one fake log since we gathered the remains of what the fire left behind ~ the concrete and log book were all that remained ~ while we pondered what to do with the hide, so we are going to archive it for now. We may place it again after the land has healed.

Geocache Description:


This is a family friendly cache close to Airway Heights, Wa. Cache is located right off from Euclid, which is a non-paved back road in this area. You will need to go slightly downhill through rocky terrain so although there is a fairly easy to naviagate path down on each side of the big rock formation, this cache is not Handi-Cachable.

 

We aren't going to say that this particular rock formation looks like a Rock Giant's behind from this side....nope, we're not. We are just going to say that you are looking for a cache that fits in perfectly tucked behind this Rock Giant. laugh
