<p>There has been Scouting in Nailsea since 1920. This year we celebrate 100 years of continuous scouting. For a lot of towns, scouting was interrupted by the second world war but, fortunately, in Nailsea we were able to continue to offer adventure and skill development for boys throughout the war. Now that scouting is open to both boys and girls and with Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers, youngsters from ages 6 to 18 can continue to enjoy what the movement has to offer.
This cache has been placed by Tomahawk Scout Troop as part of our Geocaching Badge. There are four caches around Nailsea, each one named after one of our patrols. The caches can be reached from nearby roads or enjoyed as part of a walk around the outskirts of the town. Please let us know if you are currently, or have been, a Scout when you log the cache. </p>
