Geocache Description:

THIS LOOP TAKES ITS NAME FROM THE AREA ALONG THE WALK WHERE, IN EARLY CHRISTIAN TIMES, HERMITS LIVED IN STONE CELLS. ON THIS LOOP YOU WILL ENJOY BIRD WATCHING AND A WONDERFUL SELECTION OF FLORA AND FAUNA.

We placed these caches during the Covid-19 lockdown as we walked this loop again and again for exercise. It is so quiet it enabled us to remain socially distant and remain with 2km of home. The cache will form part of a large loop (easily getting your 10,000 steps done) but you could also drive right up to it. No particular reason to bring you here to this spot other than creating a nice loop walk.
