This cache is placed in Glas-na-braden Glen in Newtownabbey in Northern Ireland. The glen is a popular walking area linking the Shore Road and Church Road. The top end of the glen is close to the popular Valley Leisure Centre
It is best accessed during the months of April and May when the ramsons which give the cache its name are in full bloom.
Ramsons are better known as wild garlic and a walk thorough the glen during this time will reveal them in sight and smell.
Technically:
Ramsons, Allium ursinum, known as wild garlic, is a bulbous perennial white flowering plant. It is a wild relative of the onion native to Europe and Asia, where it grows in moist woodland. It is quite rare in Northern Ireland especially in the numbers you can see in this glen. They are a favourite food of wild boar but as yet none have been sighted in the glen!
The cache is in a small bison tube placed at ground level. See the clue for further information. As mentioned above the glen is a popular walking area so please be careful in retrieving and replacing the cache.
