The 2016. Viljandi community budget voting was won, with 1057 votes, by the idea to renovate and illuminate the Uueveski footpath. Because the only price offer exceeded the budget more than nine times, street lighting wasnt built.
The footpath renovation was completed in october 2017. The footpath runs next to the Uueveski creek in the valley.
The footpath is approximately one kilometer long and connects the Uueveski street and the Uueveski recreation center. There are also outdoor swimming pools, where you can swim in the summer.
On warm days you might be able to see muggles there.

2016. aasta Viljandi kaasava eelarve hääletusel võitis 1057 häälega Uueveski jalgtee uuendamise ja valgustamise idee. Kuna ainus hinnapakkumine, mis uuendamiseks ja valgustamiseks tehti, ületas 9-kordselt planeeritud summa, jäeti ära jalgtee valgustamine. Renoveeritud jalgtee valmis alles 2017 aasta oktoobris. Jalgtee kulgeb Uueveski orus mööda Uueveski oja. Selle pikkus on umbes kilomeeter ja see ühendab Uueveski tänava ja Uueveski puhkekeskuse. Puhkekeskuse juures asuvad basseinid, kus saab suvel ujuda.
