An easy drive-by cache with convenient parking off the main A65.
This is a good-sized regular cache which make it ideal for dropping off medium and larger TBs. Various stretches of the A65 have been straightened over the years and we think this part was done about 25 years ago (Local people may be able to tell me the the exact year, but I have not been able to find it. You can pull into an old stretch of the road which is still used to access local properties and a back road to Hutton Roof. On the Kirkby Lonsdale side, where the loop re-joins the main road,you can just see the old road heading east and now under a fine carpet of moss. Look out for brambles at the cache site and please re-cover the cache with twigs and bark to keep it camouflaged.
