111 Mile House was established in 1861 as a two storey hotel along the brigade trail. It was a stopping place for four-horse stagecoaches carrying travelers to and from the gold fields. The collapsing log building nearest the creek is the last remaining structure from the original road house complex. The cache container is an ammo can suitable as a hotel for travel bugs and geo coins. Parking is available near the old buildings with just a short hike to the cache site.
