EU// SANTURTZIKO PARKE HISTORIKO ARTISTIKOA
Santurtziko arrantza portu zaharra San Jorge elizaren aurrean dago. Hala ere, XX. mendearen hasieran hasi ziren betelanak eta gaur egungo arrantza portua eraikitzen. Gerora etorriko ziren merkataritza portua eraikitzeko lanak. Itsasoari irabazitako eremuan, aspaldi “Santurtziko kontxa” deitzen zen eremuan, Santurtziko parkea inauguratu zuten 1918ko martxoaren 31n. 1917an musika kioskoa eraiki zuten.
Parkeak ez ohikoak diren zuhaitz mota kopuru handia du: Kaliforniako sekuoia erraldoiak, Himalaiako zedroak, aligustre japoniarra eta Amerikako eta Afrikako palmondoak. Oraindik ere mantentzen dituen zuhaitz kopuru handiagatik eta aniztasunagatik, Parke historiko artistiko izendapena jaso du.
2009an parke historiko artistikoa berritzeko lanak egiten zituzten bitartean, aurkikuntza bitxia egin zuten. El viejo puerto pesquero de Santurtzi se ubicaba delante de la iglesia de San Jorge. Sin embargo, desde comienzos del siglo XX se inicia el relleno y la construcción del actual puerto pesquero y posteriormente del puerto comercial. Sobre el terreno ganado al mar, en lo que antiguamente se denominaba “concha de Santurtzi fue inaugurado el 31 de marzo de 1918 el Parque de Santurtzi,En 1917, se construye el actual kiosco de música.
El parque cuenta con un gran número de especies arbóreas poco usuales: sequoias californianas gigantes, cedros del Himalaya y del Atlas, el aligustre del Japón y palmeras americanas y africanas. Por la gran cantidad y diversidad de árboles que aún conserva ha sido declarado parque histórico Artístico.
Durante la última reforma de este parque histórico- artístico en 2009, tuvo lugar un curioso hallazgo en este punto. Bajo los jardines se encontró un refugio antiaéreo. Tras la reforma del parque en 2009, este refugio quedó bajó loa jardines, señalizado con una placa. Esta, se encuentra en los jardines contiguos al Kiosco.

EN//THE HISTORIC ARTISTIC PARK OF SANTURTZI
The old fishing port of Santurtzi was located in front of the church of San Jorge. However, since the beginning of the 20th century the filling and construction of the current fishing port and later the commercial port began.
