While spending a few months in Merced, we've had the pleasure of some nice strolls on Black Rascal Creek Bikeway. In a tribute to The Little Rascals, I'm placing some caches here.
Matthew Stymie Beard was born Jan 1 1925 in Los Angeles Ca and died on Jan 8 1981 in Los Angeles Ca. After The Little Rascals Matthew became a heroin addict but in the 60s got clean and got back into show business. His trademark bowler (hat) was a gift from Stan Laurel, which accounts for why it was oversized.He played Luther, a member of the backstage crew, wearing his trademark bowler in the 1978 The Buddy Holly Story and Willie Washington, Usher in the 1980 Pray TV. He was buried with his bowler hat, that he wore all his life.
