Geocache Description:

The South Country History series is a new series of geocaches being placed at locations of rural schools, churches, cemeteries, cenotaphs, and former townsites in south central Saskatchewan.

In 1921, it became evident that the nearby Stewart School was too small to accommodate all the students of the area, so a new school was built on this location. It was soon expanded as other one-room schools in the area closed down. It operated for 75 years, until it was closed in 1996 due to shrinking enrollments.
