This is a hike up off the LNE on the G loop Trail it's a huffer and a Puffer but the view is nice.
Railroading has a rich History in the Development of Lower Carbon County as 3 Railroads ran thru this area of the Lehigh River Gap . 2 of the Trains that ran thru here were the Lehigh valley railroad and the Lehigh New England Railroad lehigh Valley ran on the Now known as D & L Trail. the Lehigh and New England ran parallel about 75 feet higher on the Mountain on what is now Called the Bobilink Trail . Can you imagine how awesome it must have looked to see 2 or 3 trains running past here at the same time. The Engineering needed to build these Railroads would be a wonder today ,but when you consider that they were built 100 years ago it becomes more impressive
