Replacement cache for Rauscher Farm Micro (GC43VDD)
Small container hidden within the Rauscher Farm Open Space area.
The Area:
Rauscher Farm comprises wonderfully diverse environments - grasslands, wetlands, woodlands, and access to Clamshell Pond - each with its store of rich ecological treasures. Enjoy the beauty and serenity of 60 acres of open space purchased by the Town of Clinton in June 2008.
The Cache:
Located at the Northern most edge of the Rauscher Farm property. This general area became home to individuals working on the construction of the Wachusett Reservoir and the Wachusett Dam. A makeshift shanty town comprised of tents and temporary shelters was established and many workers resided there while working on the project.
This cache may or may not be winter friendly. Log only so please bring your own pen/pencil. ***The terrain rating will increase with very wet or snowy conditions*** Available during daylight hours only. All hides are within 30 feet of a trail. Please be mindful of private property. Trail maps are available at the parking area.
