We need your help!
I've been driving past this for a few years now when a few months months ago, curiousity got the better of me and a began researching the origins of this monument. Having contacted local authorities, societies, even the National Maritime Museum among many others, to this point I,ve had no luck, just now a lot of people, like myself, keen to find out the reason this monument was placed here.
Hence, the idea of placing a cache here.
Unfortunately, the place is in a great deal of disrepair, but I'm hoping that with some increased interest, the area can be restored. I'm thinking that the names of the local streets, in particular the street opposite, have some bearing on the history.
Such a mystery.
So a very simple cache, not particularly well hidden, and one I will most likely change in the not to distant future. Please BYOP and HELP!
