Welcome to the Panhandle Trail! The Panhandle Trail goes from Walkers Mill in Collier Township, PA to Colliers Township, WV, just outside of Weirton. The section of trail in Washington County PA is paved, while the rest of the trail is crushed limestone. Please only find these caches during the day as the trail is closed at night. This is one of our favorite trails to walk on. Upon solving the puzzle below, you will be seeking a camo’d pill bottle. Each hide is hidden the same way, so it should not be very hard to figure out how we hid them. These caches have been placed to allow the youngest cacher to enjoy themselves, while also giving the seasoned cacher a chance to get out and grab a couple of them. Please watch out for muggles while searching for these caches, so they don’t get stolen. There are no pens or pencils in any of these caches, so you will need to provide one to sign the log sheet. If you don’t sign the log AND you say that in your log, we will delete your find! If the log sheet is wet, you have our permission to change it out. If the container is missing though, do not throw one down. It is okay to log a DNF on the cache. This is our only way of knowing if there is a problem with a hide. We will come out and fix the missing cache, usually in 2 weeks. For all of the trail heads and parking areas, as well as general information about the Panhandle Trail, please see the first cache in this series. Good luck and happy caching!
