I have removed this cache from its original location. I will re-enable the cache once I have found a new home for it. If you decide to attempt this cache while the COVID-19 Shelter at Home order is in effect, please make sure you come alone and follow all the recommended social distancing guidelines set forth by State and Health authorities. Since hiking/exercising is allowed I thought I'd place a cache for those cachers that are going a little stir crazy about now. You are responsible for your health and well being during this time and have a responsibility to others as well. Please be safe.
This trail is not heavily utilized (I've never seen another person on the trail). However, should you encounter another person, please be smart. Give space, a friendly shaka, and keep moving.
The Mt. Ceres cache has a good description of how to get to the ridgeline that this cache (and Mt. Ceres) are on. You can use that cache for reference if needed. This hike will get your heart rate up. It is not that far, but a decent pitch on the ridge.
In the interest of minimizing touch during this time, I am fine if you want to take a picture of the cache in its hiding place and send me the picture instead of opening the container and signing the log. So there is no need to touch the cache. Although I do ask you don't post that particular picture in the log. Other pictures are fine, just not the one you submit for your log.
