The cache container is not at the listed coordinates.
One local cacher is a big fan of Leonardo Bonacci and his famous sequence. The Fibonacci sequence is well-known for turning up many seemingly unrelated branches of mathematics. I was noodling around with it the other day and I discovered that the location of this spot is hidden in the series! In the standard geocaching format, even! I'm thinking Leonardo was a fan of the wine!
A quick refresher: the Fibonacci series is 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21... where each successive number is the sum of the two preceding ones. The series is indexed starting at zero:
F(0) = 0,
F(1) = 1,
F(2) = 1,
F(3) = 2,
F(4) = 3,
F(5) = 5,
etc.
The cache coordinates appear in Fibonacci sequence as follows:
Latitude: the last 7 digits of F(161803398874989484820458683436563811772030917980576286213544862270526046289040334)
Longitude: the last 8 digits of F(3141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592307939959760)
