Danson Park is a public park located between Welling and Bexleyheath. At 75 hectares, it is the second largest public park in the borough (the largest being Foots Cray Meadows at 100 hectares), and the most used by the community. Opened in 1925, it is often considered the finest green open space in the borough.

The Danson Park Bowl's Club was founded in 1933, this was the first Bowls Club to be set in the beautiful grounds of Danson Park. It's one of the few bowls clubs in NW Kent with two greens (14 rinks). The outdoor bowling season starts at the end of April and continues throughout the summer until the end of September.
