This series of 6 caches follows the new section of the bike path. The terrain is for distance walking on the trail and wheelchairs can access the area, but will not be able to reach cache.
You can begin your journey by parking at Hike & Bike #1 – GC586VC, then finding Hike & Bike #2 – GC586VM. The new section now winds through Brandywine Creek Nature Park and north to Fort and 3rd Street. Enjoy a beautiful hike, run or bike.
On Saturday, November 9, 2019, Niles Township completed the final section of the Indiana Michigan River Valley Trail to connect Brandywine Creek Nature Park to the Niles City trail at Fort Street. This completed 17 miles of trail or 34 miles round trip connect Mishawaka, South Bend, and Niles. The trail starts in downtown Niles along Riverfront Park where additional parking exists.
