We've brought you to a beautiful spot, so take some time to look around the area while you're close to the cache. The cache is aptly named after something that you could find when exploring the seashore. While you're in the area, you may discover some of our local secret places to sit and watch the comings and goings in this Salish Sea harbour. Be stealthy though as this area can often be busy late morning to evening, and we don't want our message in a bottle to go missing - mornings may be best! Make sure you return the paper clips to the two ends of the rolled up log so it compresses and will easily slide out of the cache container!
Fun fact: The June 23, 1946 Vancouver Island earthquake shook the Strait of Georgia region, causing the bottom of Deep Bay to sink between 2.7 m (9 ft) and 25.6 m (84 ft).
