This is a circular walk of around 4 miles, starting at the car park off "Gordon's roundabout" on the A322. The walk is mainly on footpaths & bridleways. It covers part of Brentmoor Heath, designated SSSI, & wooded quiet footpaths near the MOD land (which is safely fenced off so you can’t go wrong!)
ALL caches have been placed with due respect to the habitat & you will not need to disturb the flourishing fauna to find them or wonder into the open heathland.
The caches on the Brentmoor Heath, Colony Bog & Bagshot Health have been placed with kind permissions from the SSSI, the Surrey Wildlife Trust & SCC Countryside estates, who reserve the rights to remove them if damage is being caused to the area. Please respect this when searching for the caches. Parts of this walk WILL get muddy especially in the winter or after rains, wellies for younger geocachers maybe advisable.
The walk follows clearly defined paths especially on the heathland area so you won’t need to stray far from them to retrieve the caches.
Some of the walk takes you adjacent to military ranges so can be noisy at times – & of course please be aware of possibility of other objects, do not pick anything up that looks suspicious!
Most of the caches DO NOT have pencils in them so please bring your own.
It's quite tricky to get a good reading here as it's under trees, but if you are on the right path you will see the obvious GZ.
