After finding Cyclocacher's terrific new caches, I was inspired to rehide Packanack's Ammo Can that was in Apshawa. This cache is in West Brook Park and it is in a lovely spot above a stream. The cache is in tribute to Aunt Helen, who recently passed away from Covid-19. She spent her life in service to others and she was a woman of great faith. When I saw that Packanack's cache had a rosary and some other religious items, I decided to honor Aunt Helen in this way. She loved Bingo and math, so I have some items of that in the cache. There is $2 and a certificate for the FTF. The trails are unmarked in this park and when you follow your GPS, it will initially guide you toward the left, which is not a pretty hike, so I made a waypoint. DON'T GO TOWARDS THE LEFT WHEN YOU COME TO THE FIRST INTERSECTION. At the first intersection that is past the stream in the parking lot, you will bear right and go toward the 1st waypoint. Once you are at the waypoint, you will bear left and the take the trail towards the left. Next, you will walk along the ridge and at the end of that trail, you will see a footpath on the right. There is no need to bushwhack until approximately the last 25 feet. The spot is pretty and peaceful. Enjoy!
