Covid-19 Crazy #3 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Oma & Opa G: We are sorry it took so long for us to get out to check on this cache. Imagine our dismay when we discovered it was totally gone! We say that because it was a stump from a tree we had cut down in our back yard! Opa G had carefully made a nice hole on the under side of the stump and fitted in a plastic container to hold the "Write in the Rain" log book. There were a number of stumps along the trail and this just really looked like one of them. I remember the day Opa put it in a back pack and carried it in to the location! It brought just over 4 years of joy and delight but there is no sign of the stump now! We thought maybe someone or some people had decided to throw it into the the woods and we looked a little bit but it's all very overgrown. Who knows but it's gone and we don't have another stump, so we decided it'd live a good life and this would be its unknown demise! 49 favorites, that was pretty good!

Geocache Description:

Are you feeling cooped up? Need a place to walk that is social distance friendly? We decided to find a safe place to put out a few new caches that would encourage walking in the out-of-doors ibut had nice wide trails to makesocial distancing easy. The Port of Skagit Trails are perfect.  This is our 3rd cache is this series. We've been thinking about this cache for a long time. We just didn't know how we would use the container! Hopefully this cache is a little more creative and even challenging but still fun, entertaining and fresh while encouraging you to come outside. This cache container can't hold a pencil so please bring your own writing implement. The cache is in plain sight so do watch for muggles as you search and log and return the cache carefully to its exact location.

We’re hoping other cachers will follow our lead and put out some new caches in our neck of the woods where we can safely and legally walk. We encourage you to add to our series!
