UBIQUITOUS
Adjective - constantly encountered, widespread
This is one of a series of cache hides showcasing some of the more common urban hides. They are all meant to be easy to find, even for the beginner, and will tell you exactly how the cache has been hidden. All you have to do is spot it.
Experienced cachers can stop reading now.
Just when you thought it was safe to be Ubiquitous!
One of the most ubiquitous placements is the guard rail. When allied with a mint tin you have probably the most ubiquitous cache placement of all... And it's not one many cachers like!
And even I can't do that to anyone!
The container is actually a store-bought magnetic tin, and it is a small and not a micro - ie easier to find.
While most guard rail finds are smaller and hidden inside the rail, in this case the cache is actually placed on the upright pole. I even added an "X" on the pole so you know the level to replace it so it's as hidden from passing muggles as possible.
The placement is on the south side of Iona Creek, just before it flows into the Ponds Creek. So access from the north, as well as being longer requires a creek crossing - just don't do it. Oh, and watch out for the multiple spider webs that infest the area.
While the coordinates may not be the best under the tree cover, the placement should be pretty obvious to you when you arrive at GZ. However the provided hint, if you are still having trouble (or are desperate for the First2Find) tells you exactly how the cache has been placed. So now you know what you're looking for, and where it is, go get it!
The best parking is right near the cache in Rumsey Crescent - do not try parking on Quarry Road.
The only muggles you will need to worry about are those living in Rumsey Crescent - unless you try jumping the fence in Quarry Road. Then everyone will notice you!
Even though it's a small please bring your own pen / pencil - if you don't sign the log you can't claim the find (no "I forgot" or "my geodog ate it" excuses accepted). And remember to replace it the same way you found it, so the cache is still there for the next cacher. Use the "X".
