Ilkley Eastside Wander #6: Gib Field Farm

The cache, a camo-taped preform tube, is the 6th of a series of 20 caches which takes you around some of the lovely countryside immediately to the east of Ilkley. It is hidden near the start of the access drive to this farm, which has recently undergone extensive renovation - with great results!
See GC8PCW2 Ilkley East Wander #1: Intro and . . . Prick!? for information on the series and waypoints. See Gallery for an annotated map with cache locations and parking spots.
To reach the cache location:
If doing in sequence: from #5, simply continue following the trail heading east past the farm building then along the lane to the junction and cache location.
If doing out of sequence: a) park at P2 next to the cache location, or . . .
b) from P3, head down to the gate at the top end of Ben Rhydding Drive @ N 53 54.760 W 1 47.543 (adjacent to IEW #12) and proceed north along the lane past IEW #11 to the junction where the cache is located.

Gib Field Farm is a Grade II listed traditional stone-built farmhouse with a paddock and adjoining land. It is thought to be from the 17th century and is currently being extensively refurbished and upgraded by new owners.
A couple of ancient Rock Art panels were recorded in this area by the Ilkley Archaeological Group:
Gib Field 01: this has 10 cups and 2 grooves on a long, thick slab of smooth grit rock resembling a gatepost. In 2012, surveyors were unable to find this stone and it is believed to be lost or destroyed when the golf course was extended.
Gib Field 02: this is a small rock with 1 cup and was located just south of Gib Field 01.
