Geocache Description:

The Manitoba Escarpment are a range of hills along the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border. They once formed the western shore of Lake Agassiz.

This cache is hidden in a small, sturdy container just three feet off the trail. It is a few miles off the highway with the dirt road getting progressively worse as you follow it uphill. With a proper vehicle and dry weather conditions, you can get within a few hundred feet from GZ. You will be walking on an approx. 700 meter thick layer of shale, left behind when the lake drained away. You will apreciate the opportunity to enjoy the spledid view down the steep ridge that exposes this oceanic rock.

This three inch container has room for small SWAG and is holding a small present for the FTF.

Uphill hiking and possibly muddy conditions.

Not accessible in winter

Bring your scribbling stick along.
