Toscanini je bil eden največjih dirigentov svojega časa. Odlikovale so ga idealne dirigentske lastnosti: absolutni posluh, perfekcionizem pri delu, odlična voditeljska sposobnost, fotografski spomin, za današnji čas pa bi bila njegova pomanjkljivost karakter kolerika, ki v njegovem obdobju ni bila tolikanj obsojena. Med dirigentove izgrede lahko štejemo spor, v katerem je violinistu na glavi razbil violino. Krstno je izvedel mnogo danes slavnih koncertnih in opernih skladb, dirigiral pa je najboljšim svetovnim orkestrom, deloval v milanski Scali, v Metropolitanski operi itd. V parku je tudi spomenik Pregel Frideriku, kot raziskovalec in predavatelj na univerzah v Gradcu in Innsbrucku je razvil izjemno natančno metodo za kvantitativno organsko mikroanalizo. Takratno raziskovalno delo so onemogočal ne natančne tehtnice, zato je v sodelovanju s podjetjem Kuhlman razvil na milijonsko grama natančno tehtnico. Za ta dosežek, ki je omogočil hiter napredek organske kemije v 20. stoletju, je leta 1923 prejel Nobelovo nagrado za kemijo. Je edini imenovani nobelovec slovenskega rodu doslej.

Among the riots of the conductor can be considered a dispute in which he broke the violin on the violinist's head. He performed many of today's famous concert and opera compositions, conducted the world's best orchestras, performed at the La Scala in Milan, at the Metropolitan Opera, etc. There is also a monument to Pregel Friderik in the park, as a researcher and lecturer at the universities of Graz and Innsbruck he developed an extremely accurate method for quantitative organic microanalysis. At that time, research work was prevented by inaccurate scales, so in collaboration with Kuhlman, he developed a scale accurate to one million grams. For this achievement, which enabled the rapid advancement of organic chemistry in the 20th century, he was awarded the 1923 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He is the only named Nobel laureate of Slovenian descent so far.
