For a change I'm not on holiday when it's International Geocaching Day and I've been given a Community Celebration Event to host, so it seemed like a good day to choose. We'll be having a picnic in the amphitheatre area if the weather is kind, but if not we have access to the visitor centre. There are toilets in the visitor centre and a kitchen, so I'll be able to provide hot and cold drinks and some snacks. If you have baking talents and want to bring anything along, that would be appreciated!
There are some ponds and grasslands to explore, so the kids (and grown-ups too) can do a mini-beast safari. I'll try to dig out a few games like boules or swingball too. There are lots of geocaches in the valley if you've not been before, and hopefully some new ones may appear.
Finally I'm hosting a CITO in the afternoon in nearby Wickfield if you can manage two events in a day. Happy caching!
